Hello! We are Mike & Jenn and we are the owners of the shop.
It is not Mike’s first foray into the world of bicycle repair. He started racing when he was 14 years old and worked on his own bikes. In university, he rode for Guelph’s Olympiad Cycling Team and worked for a man named George Vettor, an avid cyclist who opened his shop Vettor Cycling and Sport in 1969. Mike spent a few years there building and repairing bikes while training under George for the team. After university, Mike continued to ride, racing for charity as well as riding for pleasure, and continued to work on his own bicycles.
This is their fourth year running Spoke & Sprocket and they are continually more than pleased to help out the cyclists in London.
Jenn was an avid cyclist in her teens and rode for pleasure through much of her twenties and thirties, working on her own bikes whenever she could, thanks to Mike’s tutelage in high school. She was a stay-at-home mom for close to 25 years. Her youngest has almost completed her Masters and recently got a position at STEAM; her eldest has reached the ripe old age of 27, and happily learning whatever strikes his fancy. Jenn is now taking a Google Course to increase her own knowledge base and is enjoying the challenges of helping run a business entails.
Together, they are a formidable team with a dream of making sure every bike – and customer – that comes into their shop leaves much happier than when they came in. They looking forward to seeing you!
